| going with custom forged wheels. My deciding factors were how the little things bothered me on my last two sets of wheels. My first set were SSR D5Rs from Tire Rack. Chrome lip gun metal centers. Offsets and fitment were great but I learned I didn't like the dark centers and I felt the 18's looked too small on a 2+2 (however perfect for the 2+0). My second set were pick-up from the classifieds. There were SSR GT3's. These were 19's and chrome lip and silver centers. I loved the look but had a major problem with how narrow the 19x9.5 looked on the 2+2 from certain views. But discovered I was happier with the 19's over the 18's on the 2+2. These experiences drove me to making the decision to go with my custom made forgelines. More than I wanted to spend but in the end, it was the right solution. Have the benifit of two locals (Brett Ramey & Randy RAGTPZ) also getting a set built before me, I was able to modify their offsets to my liking. Another benifit is being able to select the style wheel/offset/width/color/finish of the wheel to your liking. In the end with tires I spent the same if not a little less than I am seeing Volks and others listed for the classifeds. Being three piece and made from 6061-T6 aluminum I wouldn't consider them heavy by no means. I still feel this was one of the best modifications I have made to my car. Hope my input helps.
